SeedEdit by ByteDance. A natural language image editing model — describe the change you want in plain English and it transforms the source image accordingly. Requires an `image_url` parameter pointing to the image to edit.

Request Parameters

model	`string`	Optional	Set to `seededit` to use this model.Default: `seededit`
image_url	`string`	Required	Source image URL. Required for this edit model — the request will fail without it.
aspect_ratio	`string`	Optional	Output aspect ratio. Allowed: 1:1 · 16:9 · 9:16 · 4:3 · 3:4 · 3:2 · 2:3.Default: `1:1`
webhook_url	`string`	Optional	URL where we POST the completed task result.
webhook_secret	`string`	Optional	Sent as x-webhook-secret header in webhook delivery for verification.

Response

This model is synchronous — the response includes the finished image_url directly. No polling required.

Tips

1Describe only what should change, not the full scene. "Make the sky purple" works better than "a photo with a purple sky".
2Works best on photorealistic inputs. Stylized or AI-generated images may produce inconsistent results.

Quirks & Gotchas

Requires image_url — the request will fail without a source image.

Results are non-deterministic. Run multiple times to get variations.
